David Leo

Throughout his career, David has acted as a trusted and valuable resource to startup, mid-size and multinational Fortune 100 companies throughout North America. He has partnered with these organizations by helping them solve their toughest talent acquisition challenges, at all levels, from senior individual contributors to corporate vice presidents.

As an active voice within the Medical Technology community, David has helped thousands of quality and regulatory professionals stay abreast of the most recent advances in their profession by running live and virtual conferences as Chair of the Boston Chapter of the Regulatory Affairs Society (RAPS), Past Chair of the Medical Device Division of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and is the founder, past chair and current board member of the ASQ New England Biomedical Discussion Group. The Discussion Group concept was conceived and championed by David and was ultimately recognized by the ASQ as a best practice for membership value and retention. In 2008 David received the Marvin Rosenbaum Distinguished Service Award, which “recognizes exceptional lifelong service to the ASQ Biomedical Division, that is both lasting and meaningful.”

David also builds bridges between the MedTech industry and academia. He served on the first advisory board for graduate studies in Health Product Regulation and Health Policy at Regis College, and currently sits on the advisory board for Biomedical Engineering at Western New England University. As part of his commitment to his profession and the MedTech community, David has conceived and organized educational collaborations and training with RAPS, MassMedic, AdvaMED, the FDA and Notified Bodies. He is an MVPvets mentor, helping military veterans transition into the life sciences industry.

When he’s not working, David plays music (he played professionally for over 10 years), enjoys cooking, gardening, the outdoors, sports and cultural activities.

David is married to his best friend Kathleen and is the proud father to their two children.

Every year, BRC donates part of our proceeds to organizations that help those who cannot help themselves such as St. Jude, The Jimmy Fund, The MSPCA and 4Oceans.
